Frequently asked questions

What does a ProudlyHuman™ certificate prove?
Your documents, at the time they were submitted, were assessed as predominantly written by a human rather than generated by AI.
How long does certification take?
Usually under two minutes. You'll be redirected back to your dashboard automatically once it completes.
What documents can I submit?
A resume (CV), a cover letter, or a writing test in PDF or DOCX format and up to 10 MB each.
Can prospective employers verify my certificate?
Yes. Every certificate has a public verification page at /verify/{certificate-number} showing the holder's name, issue date and the SHA-256 hashes of the certified documents.
What happens if a document isn't certified?
If our analysis flags any portion of your document as likely AI-generated, your application will be marked Cannot be ProudlyHuman™ Certified. Most often this happens when AI has been used to draft or heavily edit text. You can revise your document and resubmit it as a new certification; if you believe the result is wrong, contact support@proudlyhuman.org within 14 days to request a human re-review.
Do you use my documents to train AI?
No. We never use your documents for model training and we never share them with anyone else.
How do I delete my data?
Open Account Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, uploaded documents and certification history.
What counts as AI assistance versus AI generation?
Spell-checkers, grammar tools and small manual edits are fine. What we flag is wholesale AI drafting or heavy AI rewriting or generation of your cover letter, resume or writing test. The certificate confirms the final text is predominantly human writing.
